Calculator inputs are processed in your browser

The material calculations run in your browser. The current version has no user accounts or project database and does not send your entries to a calculation service to produce a result. Avoid putting names, addresses or other sensitive information into fields intended for dimensions or quantities.

Running the calculation locally does not mean that visiting a website involves no server connection. The browser still requests the pages and assets needed to display the site. The hosting and connection information described below is separate from the calculation itself.

Sharing a link includes the values in that link

When you use a calculation link containing inputs, those values become part of the URL. Someone who receives it can read or reopen the calculation. The link may appear in browser history, hosting request logs when opened, or the service through which you share it.

Check the link before sending it and avoid including private information. Printing or saving a result also creates a copy that you control outside the calculator. Keep that copy only where you are comfortable storing the measurements and assumptions it contains.

Hosting and email

A hosting provider may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as a connection address, browser details, request time and requested page, according to its configuration and policies. This page does not claim that hosting requests leave no technical records.

If you send email, its contents and sender details are processed by the email services involved. A site correction normally needs only a non-sensitive example and an explanation of the issue. Do not send identity documents, financial information or private project drawings to report a calculator error.

Analytics and advertising in this version

Analytics and advertising are not enabled by default in this version. If analytics are added, this page must be updated before activation to identify the service, relevant data processing and configuration. A placeholder reserved in the layout is not, by itself, a live advertising service.

If Google advertising is enabled later, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies according to the advertising settings and applicable consent choices. The privacy information and appropriate controls must be updated before ads are shown. Google's advertising preferences are available through My Ad Center at myadcenter.google.com.

Status and updates

This page describes the functions of the current draft version and needs review before public release. It should change when services, providers or data handling change. The displayed last-updated date is a content date, not evidence of legal approval or a completed specialist review.

For questions or corrections, consult the contact page, which states the current verification status of the intended site email. The operator and verified communication details must be completed as part of the public-launch checks.
